I voted for a change in the way of human life and the quality of it as well. I currently reside in Texas I have lots of reasons for medical use of cannabis none of which I will disclose here, until I can afford to move to a med state, or the government decriminalizes the uses of cannabis for anybody/anyreason, I'm stuck being a "criminal".

This idea is now in second place on the whole site, with the most comments. If anyone wants to put this on their facebook or other site that would be awesome. Thanks again guys!

I voted already! Isn't the legalization of marijuana on the 2010 ballots?

As far as I know it is only on the Cal 2010 ballots. I could be wrong though.

Hey guys I thought this was interesting. Of course this idea is still number one, and I was looking in the criminal justice category and 12 out of the top 15 ideas there are dealing with legalizing cannabis wether medicinally or generally. With the latest polls and examples like this I hope they won't be able to sweep the consensus under the rug. Thanks again, peace and pot.

This idea finished first in the criminal justice category. Many thanks to those who voted, but don't forget the second round of voting starts Monday. Here are the details.
The First Round of voting in the Ideas for Change in America competition has concluded, as of Thursday, February 25th at 5pm ET. The Final Round of voting will begin on Monday, March 1st at 1pm ET and end on Friday, March 11th at 5pm ET.

The top 3 rated ideas from each issue area will advance to the Final Round. Voting will begin anew in the Final Round to provide an equal playing field for each idea, and every American will be able to vote for up to 10 ideas. The top 10 rated ideas will be presented to relevant members of the Obama Administration.

We will be notifying all idea creators officially confirming whether their idea has qualified for the Final Round by Friday, February 26th.

This idea is up to number one on the whole site again!! Almost 1,400 votes already in the final round of voting. There is a little less than 8 days left to go to vote. Also be encouraged someone that I know who is involved in lobbying efforts for our cause in Washington D.C. said that they are hearing that a bill is going to be introduced in the house and the senate within the next year or so.
